Use: Several different application techniques: Naturally using your fingers, lightly with a makeup sponge or a Foundation Brush. A kabuki brush gives a great application too, with superb coverage.

Natural Foundation Tips:

• Getting your Foundation shade right. Apply three stripes different shades Foundation on your chin, so you see it easily, blending downwards towards your neck. Choose the shade which completely blends in with your face and neck, that's the best shade for you. Natural daylight is best for this job.

• Pump you Foundation on the top of the lid, rather than placing on the back of your hand, for application. This is because your skin will start absorbing the nourishing ingredients immediately.

• For more coverage and long-lasting make-up, apply Colour Correcting Powder before your Foundation. Both Foundation and Colour Correcting Powder are mineral based. You can use Colour Correcting Powder under Foundation and/or over Foundation.

• For less coverage, mix Foundation with your Moisturiser.

• Want more luminosity to your look? Mix a little Illuminating Fluid with your Foundation.

• For a more sheer look with a subtle luminosity mix Regenerating Day Cream Complexion with your Foundation.

• Apply Concealer after Foundation, to conceal what your Foundation didn't. We love Light Reflecting Concealer 00 translucent, which conceals with a trick of light.

Key ingredients

Whole pomegranates

Pomegranates not only taste good, they have a range of health benefits. Anti-fungal, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties have been ascribed to them. They’re also resistant to drought and can store much moisture and vitality in their fruit.

• We process the whole pomegranate fruit, including the peel for our products, obtaining a preparation that promotes regeneration of the skin.

• Pomegranate peel is an important ingredient because its extract inhibits an enzyme that is responsible for the breakdown of collagen in ageing skin.

• At the same time, the extract activates an enzyme that’s involved in the production of collagen.

• Pomegranate seed oil contained in the whole-fruit extract stimulates cell division in the keratinocytes, cells which produce the important skin-strengthening protein keratin.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is slow in penetrating the skin’s layers, it leaves the skin feeling soft and silky smooth all day. The coconut oil in Dr. Hauschka Foundation comes from a small farming project in Sri Lanka, which is certified by both Naturland and Fair For Life. This gives the formulation a stable, moisturising base.

Macadamia Nut Oil
Macadamia nuts take a very long time to ripen and are only ready when they fall from the tree of their own accord. Macadamia nut oil is absorbed easily by the skin and is unique among oils owing to the high amount of antioxidant palmitoleic acid that it contains.
