It all started with Rose Day Cream.
Dr. Rudolf Hauschka founded WALA back in 1935 and made a name for himself with natural medicines. A skin care range, which worked with the same medicinal plant extracts, seemed to be a logical progression. In collaboration with cosmetologist Elisabeth Sigmund, bases for creams that did not need chemical or synthetic emulsifiers to stabilise them, and fragrance blends with natural essential oils were made. The first natural skin care by Dr. Hauschka came onto the market in 1967 with Rose Day Cream taking the lead – still a classic in our Skin Care range today.

Mature skin has its own demands. It enjoys a skin care regime that smooths and tones, activates moisture and supports its structure. Is a different day cream needed in winter than in summer?
The cold outside as well as the dry air from the central heating inside takes a toll on your skin in winter. If you have been using say rich moisturisers for dry skin, Dr. Hauschka Rose Day Cream or Tinted Day Cream, both of which offer extra protection you may find once the warmer weather arrives your skin may prefer lighter moisturisers such as Rose Day Cream Light, Quince Day Cream which is cooling and soothing yet still protection or the very light and carefree Day Lotions.
