Quality at WALA is characterised by the interplay of 'Tradition' with modern state-of-the-art production processes.
Plants from WALA's own Biodynamic medicinal herb garden are processed by hand with care and deliberation and combined with raw materials of supreme quality to produce highest grade medicines and skin care products. In order to maintain consistent quality and availability, Biodynamic farming projects are initiated and supported worldwide by WALA.
Dr.Hauschka Skin Care products contain no synthetic fragrances and are free from synthetic preservatives and colouring agents. They contain only precious oils and essences from plants grown Biodynamically, Organically or harvested in the wild. Regular in-house controls of the raw materials ensure the highest quality hygiene standards.
Dr.Hauschka Skin Care preparations carry the certification mark Kontrollierte Natur-Kosmetik (Certified Natural Skin Care product), which is awarded on the basis of the strict criteria of the BDIH guidelines (Bundesverband Deutscher Industrie und Handelsunternehmen - German Federal Association of Industrial and Commercial Companies) and guaranteed by the independent test institute Ecocontrol. For BDIH certification the origin, collection and processing of the raw materials used are evaluated. As far as possible, all the raw materials are to be of plant or mineral origin and organically grown. In creating Dr.Hauschka Skin Care, WALA even refrains from using any of the few nature-identical preservatives permitted by BDIH. When obtaining the raw materials, care is taken to interfere as little as possible with Nature and to not disturb other life forms. WALA strongly opposes the use of animal testing. Maintaining these high quality standards has been the honourable mission of WALA for over 37 years.
